Israel Preparing for Impact from European Financial Crisis
Sharon Kedimi, Director General of the Israel Ministry for Industry, Trade, and Labor, was recently interviewed about how Israel is preparing for the impact of the European financial crisis. Many fear that Israel will lose a significant amount of its exports given that Europe is the largest trading partner for Israel. However, Israel is exploring new major trading partners, especially in the Far East and in South America, and will be focusing efforts on its current strong trading partners, including the U.S. (the second largest trading partner), as much as possible.
