Taste the latest from Israel at Sial 2012

Sial, one of the leading food exhibitions in the world, will take place in Paris on October 21-25, with 140,000 visitors, and 6000 exhibitors from 100 countries. Israel will exhibit at Sial with 23 exciting food companies.

Did you know that the cherry tomato is an Israeli invention? Israel is known for its innovation and R&D, but this is true not only for hi-tech, but in the food industry as well. In 2010, over a quarter of the companies in the Israeli booth at Sial won awards for innovative products. The Israeli booth in Sial 2012 will see the launch of some innovative products in the category of chocolate, free products, crackers and seasoning.

Here are some of the latest developments you will be able to find at the Israeli booth at the fair – Hall 4 4L 024:

High quality gluten & lactose free products
Years before it became a hot trend, the Israeli food industry produced high quality gluten & lactose free products, based on the (very complicated) Kosher rules. The Israeli booth at Sial will present outstanding gluten free breads, bagels, cakes & baked goods, as well as lactose free chocolate, wafers & confectionary for children and adults.

Middle Eastern Food
Middle Eastern food is a global trend, and in rising demand. Its no wonder, its delicious, versatile, colorful and healthy. At the Israeli booth you’ll find falafel, burekas (pastry with a large variety of fillings) and the up and coming star in dressings – Tahini (sesame seed paste). Made using traditional recipes going back generations, yet in state of the art facilities, these products are sure to dominate the specialty/ethnic shelf in the next few years. Come and taste them at the Israeli booth.

Time saving in the kitchen – gourmet solutions
Today, more and more consumers are all looking for healthy, tasty & diversified meals to prepare at home instead of those frozen/chilled TV meals. However, they need it fast… after a long day, multiple tasks and demands there is just not much energy left to slave in the Kitchen. At the Israeli booth in Sial we will introduce innovative, clever products that will cut the time you spend in the kitchen and still produce great food, in a sense “Speedy Gourmet”. Rice, grains and pasta mixes, special herb mixes and variety of sauces based on Tomatoes. All made from natural ingredients and are easy to use.
