Chicago-based Boeing Company announced last month a renewed work agreement with Israel Aerospace Industries. The two companies met in Tel Aviv last month to celebrate 10 years of collaboration on the Arrow Weapon System, and have committed to seeing the project expand to develop new technologies in missile defense. “We are pleased to mark this 10-year milestone by expanding our cooperation on missile defense initiatives with our partner IAI,” said Boeing’s Network & Space Systems President Roger Krone at the signing ceremony on January 19th.
The technology developed between Boeing and IAI is the world’s first operational national missile defense system, and is being utilized in Israel. The companies are now working on the third iteration of the technology, Arrow 3. For more information read the full Boeing press release.
