DG-ENTERPRISE-INDUSTRY-small

 Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with great excitement that I can inform you that the Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr Antonio Tajani, will be leading a senior EU industry delegation to visit Israel, in mid-October 2013.

Recognising Israel as “one of the most competitive economies in the world” and underlining one of the country’s main strengths as being a “world-class capacity for innovation”, this EU business delegation visit to Israel will be aimed at increasing bilateral business relations and market integration in mutually beneficial ways, to boost strong sustainable growth and create jobs on both sides.

The delegation, which will be comprised of leading businesses from all over Europe, will be introduced to the latest technologies and solutions from a range of different sectors and industries. These sectors will include, the likes of environmental technologies, ICT and high-tech, space technologies, homeland security, fashion and high-end industries, the automotive industry and the venture capital market.

This visit has been planned to coincide with a visit to WATEC, one of the world’s largest and most influential water and clean technology conferences. Taking place once every two years, and attracting almost 30,000 people from over 100 countries, WATEC provides international business leaders, political decisions makers and key researchers the opportunity to discover and discuss the most advanced global water technologies and solutions.

Places are still available on this very special and unique EU delegation to Israel that will involve participation in several events, attendance at several receptions and various opportunities to meet with government Ministers and business leaders alike. Anyone wishing to participate, or to find out more information, should visit the delegation website by clicking here, contact our embassy or get in touch with your local European Enterprise Network chapter.

With kind regards,
