Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA), is organizing for the second year, the Asia Smartphone App Contest to recognize the excellence of innovative smartphone apps development and provide a platform for top smartphone apps professionals in the region to meet, share, collaborate and learn from each other. This year’s contest is following up on the success of last year’s Asia Smartphone Apps Contest and Summit.
The Summit and Award Presentation Ceremony of the 2015 Asia Smartphone App Contest will be held on 18th June (Thursday) at Cyberport. Three Israeli companies – WinkApp, Lab style Innovation and Augmented Games, has qualified as top 9 finalists of the competition, and were invited by WTIA to come to HK and will be competing against other contestants from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Mainland China, Malaysia and Singapore, for the final awards in three categories of the contest -Advertising & Marketing, Creative Lifestyle and Games & Entertainment.
Moreover, Mr. Yaniv Feldman, Co-founder and Editor-in-chief of Geektime Intelligence, the leading global startup data intelligence service at Geektime, (which is one of the leading global tech blogs around the world), will also be visiting and participating as a part of the judging panel along with other judges from other different regions.
In addition to the Summit and Award Presentation Ceremony, all the Israeli participants will also participate in a Business Matching Session the day after the ceremony on 19th June (Friday) at HKPC Building. They are looking forward to meet with Local developers, Investors, SMEs and stakeholders; and hope to promote effective dialogue between potential partners, as well as to foster business collaboration and partnership among the participants, and across different Asian regions.
