Can an algorithm write original articles?
Israeli startup, Articoolo, developed an algorithm that creates unique textual content from scratch, simulating a human writer, and enables anyone who needs content to buy articles online for a fraction of the price they used to pay until today. After running a successful beta with the English article writer, Articoolo is launching a Chinese version now.
Articoolo’s technology is a breakthrough in the way textual content is created. It uses artificial intelligence and NLP to create original-like articles. All users are required to do, is type in a topic two to five words long, determine the length of the requested article and the algorithm will create the article.
Articoolo’s content creator works like the human brain when asked to write an article. First, it analyzes and understands the context of the requested topic and finds the best resources. Then it extracts sentiment and important keywords and uses it to expand the content base. After finding the most relevant resources it summarizes and complies them to construct a new coherent piece of text. At the end of this process the software rewrites the article using an NLP engine for multi-level semantic identification, and then verifies the readability of the text. This whole process won’t take more than a minute.
Doron Tal, Co-Founder and CEO, said: “We don’t think our technology will replace human writers at this point. Instead, it is aimed at helping writers create a good starting point for their writing missions by making the creation process quicker, cost efficient, and much more pleasant.
After a long pilot with our English article writer, we are launching now a Chinese version. surprisingly, in some cases, the Chinese version works even better than the English one. There are over 1.2 billion native Chinese speakers globally, so we believe our Chinese feature has a lot of potential”.
