Home to more than 400 companies in the digital health sector, Israel has been a leading adopter of digital health innovation. For over 25 years, the Israeli healthcare system has implemented health IT, electronic medical records and business analytics. Israel’s largest HMOs have led this digital health implementation revolution. In Israel today, there is almost 100% adoption of electronic medical records, extensive usage of laboratory and imaging information system systems, and computerized physician order entries. 95% of primary care physicians use e-prescribing.
As national governments and medical facilities move toward greater adoption of these technologies, Israel’s innovations in digital health are helping treat patients throughout the world.
