Just before the New Year 2016, The Economic Department at the Israel Consulate in Mumbai offered an exclusive program for the private firms to grasp on a new idea – Cyber significance in today’s world.
On 29th December 2015, we had a visit of a renowned Cyber Expert for Israel, Mr. Roni Zehavi. Mr. Zehavi is Co-Founder and CEO of CyberSpark Industry Initiative Ltd, created to advance research and development of cyber solutions in Beer-Sheva, along with developing a thriving eco-system that includes Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the municipality, the industry and the government-Israeli National Cyber Bureau.
The Economic department at the Consulate in Mumbai had organized a Roundtable discussion on Cyber Security for Mr. Roni Zehavi with top private companies of India like Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Ashok Piramal Group, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and other renowned Indian companies.
During the discussion various topics were discussed about the Israeli Cyber Ecosystem by Mr. Zehavi, who also took the opportunity to invite Indian companies to the upcoming Cybertech 2016 Event in Israel, which would take place in Tel Aviv, Israel from 26th – 27th of January 2016.
Cybertech is a conference and exhibition of cyber technologies. The Conference & Exhibition will present commercial problem solving strategies and solutions for the global cyber threat that meet the diverse challenges for a wide range of sectors: finance transportation, utilities, defense, R&D, manufacturing, telecommunication, health and government. The conference will also provide the exhibition of different innovative technologies, which are key to fighting these threats.
After the Roundtable discussion a special visit was organized at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) discussing on Israeli Cyber Ecosystem with the BSE Staff that included the Head of security & his team, IT Team along with Marketing & Communication team. Also short visit was arranged to The Startup venture incubator – Zone Startups at BSE.
This unique day has brought up the requirement for Cyber Security in India. The thought of cyber security related projects needs to be structured in India not only on a priority basis but they must also be successfully implemented as soon as possible.
