The 11th edition of the Aero Show held in the month of Feb 2017, “Make in India” was the central theme of the show. About 549 companies were there in the show out of which 270 companies are Indian. The show provided the perfect platform for defence equipment manufacturers who are looking at India as a potential market. Bangalore is the natural choice for Aero India given the presence a large number of defence and aviation firms, including HAL and DRDO labs.
The Aero Show had an exclusive Israeli Pavilion show casing the technologies of 15+ companies. The prominent companies being, Israel Aerospace Industry, Rafael, Elbit, AVCO, RT. The Israeli pavilion received a good amount of footfall during the five-day sojourn. The Aero Show is conducted once in every two years and the show attracts technologies from throughout the world.
The defence cooperation between India and Israel is unique, building on the strengths of both countries. Israeli designs matched with India’s singular development and manufacturing capabilities provide innovative and effective defense solutions contributing to both country’s security and economies.
