Israel is a major exporter of fresh produce and a world-leader in agricultural technologies despite the fact that the geography of Israel is not naturally conducive to agriculture.  Israel is home to two unique types of agricultural communities, the kibbutz and mashav.  Israel is a world leader in agricultural research and development, which has led to dramatic increases in the quantity and quality of the country’s crops.

The Agritech Exhibition, held once every three years, is one of the leading international events showcasing Israeli agriculture technologies. It traditionally attracts decision-makers, experts, practitioners and trainers in agriculture, and thousands of visitors. It provides an opportunity to see at one site the latest developments in agricultural sector and advanced agro-technologies, especially in the fields of irrigation, water management, arid zone agriculture, intensive greenhouse cultivation, development of new seed varieties, and organic and ecologically-oriented agriculture.

The Agritech Israel Exhibition and Conference, will take place during 8-10 May 2018, at the Tel Aviv. The focus is on Global warming, climate change, extreme weather phenomena, water deficiency and desertification, which present new challenges and require extensive and profound approaches and durable solutions for efficient farming on the edge of the desert.

The professional conference, held within the framework of the exhibition, will be devoted entirely to the challenges related to agriculture on the edge of the desert and its achievements. The Government of Israel, is a full partner in the planned events,  with the active support and participation of the Ministries of Agriculture, Economy and Industry, Foreign Affairs and the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute.

Looking forward to seeing you in Agritech Israel 2018.
