The events, jointly hosted by Economic & Trade Mission, Embassy of Israel & various stakeholders like International fund for agriculture development, Nabcons, BRICS Chamber, WRG 2030 along with Horticulture and Animal Husbandry Departments of Haryana and Punjab Government brought together Israeli technology providers, leading Indian players, entrepreneurs & innovators, scientists, academics, senior government representatives etc., to discuss and deliberate over business issues and to explore opportunities for collaboration.

Undoubtedly, Indian Agricultural sector is thriving for major structural transformations. Though it continues to accommodate the major share of the workforce, the sector is prone to output fluctuations even after establishing better input facilities and technology like irrigation, High yielding seeds, changes in cropping pattern etc. Though several recent efforts of Indian Government and corporates to develop various ‘source-to-market’ initiatives have been planned or running, but mostly it is in very nascent stage. With lots of similarities in multiple aspects, Israel excellence in Agri-technology and animal husbandry is already proving and will continue to prove as a suitable match for India to improve on/ off farm productivity and global competitiveness.
