For about past three decades, Israel has maintained its position as a leading powerhouse for cyber security innovation. Israeli companies have been providing novel solutions which have enhanced the robustness, strength, and security of other nations and organizations in the world, making a global impact that is non-proportional to Israel’s material size.

While cyber security has become worldwide issue, Israel’s cyber security expertise has evolved naturally from its constant vigilance, both online and off.

Mr. Zori Kor, Senior HLS & Cyber Expert from Israel visited Mumbai on 26th July 2018 and delivered a keynote address to leading CISO’s in Mumbai at a seminar organized by the Consulate General of Israel in Mumbai in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Mr. Kor shared how Israel became a powerhouse in the field of cybersecurity and shared an overview on the most sought-after industry in the world – the Israeli Cyber Security industry. Mr. Kor also discussed about latest developments in the Israeli cyber security and Homeland Security (HLS) industry.

The event also witnessed an address of Mr. Mathan Babu, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on the Indian cyber security industry. There was a panel discussion on ‘The Evolving Cybersecurity Landscape: An Indo – Israel perspective’, moderated by Mr. Ritesh Bhatia, Cyber Crime Investigator and Cyber Security Expert. Dr. Balsing Rajput, Superintendent of Police – Cyber, Maharashtra Police be on the panel. The panel also included 2 Indian representatives of Israeli companies; Mr. Ajay Bongirwar, Regional Head India and Middle East at Checkmarx and Mr. Rakesh Viswanathan, Regional Director – India & SAARC at Cyberbit.

The event was attended by around 50 high level participants from leading companies in Mumbai. During the visit, Mr. Zori Kor also held one to one meetings with large financial institutions in Mumbai.
