The World Bank Group has announced the TechEmerge Resilience India Challenge, in partnership with Government of India’s National Disaster Management Authority and CES.

WBG is calling on the tech community from around the world to address some of India’s most pressing disaster and climate resilience challenges, currently compounded by the Covid-19 pandemic. Through the program, top tech solutions from around the globe will be matched with Disaster Management Authorities (DMAs) in India to deploy solutions to address the needs of the government and local communities.

The Challenge has 2 Tracks:

  1. Covid-19 Fast Track (applications due by June 19, 2020) to support DMAs in India with the dual challenges of immediate disaster response to cyclones, monsoons, etc. amidst the pandemic, and
  2. Resilience Track (applications due by July 20, 2020) to build greater resilience to natural disasters and climate change (beyond immediate Covid-19 circumstances).

Israeli tech companies are invited to apply for the program. More information is available on https://www.techemerge.org/resilience
