The Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) – one of the largest technology summits in the country, Organised by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, this year’s summit is going virtual held from November 19 to November 21, 2020. In its 23rd edition, the summit focused on facilitating dialogue and collaboration for businesses, governments, academia and innovators to navigate the post-pandemic world.

The event with global leaders, influencers and companies sharing their vision for the future. As a platform which facilitates discussion and encourages disruptive technologies, the summit enables startups. Over 100+ startups are expected to participate in the BTS exhibition this year. In addition, the exhibitors at the various industry verticals such as Global Innovation Alliance, India Innovation Alliance, Corporates, and Consumer Electronics, as well as the technology focused pavilions including IT, BT, Electronics, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML), Augmented Reality (AR & VR), SmartTech, HealthTech, FinTech, MedTech, EduTech, Robotics and Drones, Gaming, put focus on innovations in the sector. This enables startups to see what the key industry trends are and the new products and resources that will become significant in the future.

The Summit had leading innovators, scientists and tech evangelists participating from all across the globe. As part of the Global Innovation Alliances (GIA) track, there were 16 GIA sessions by international partners – Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and Taiwan. Several industries also engaged with the Karnataka ecosystem during BTS 2020.

The Bengaluru Ecosystem has nurtured and driven the rise of several Unicorns, creating an efficient entrepreneurial environment for growth & success. Bengaluru has always been a ’nucleus’ for innovators & change makers with Govt. & industry support, research institutions, financiers, nurturers in the form of accelerators & incubators and technology & business mentors. The Bengaluru Impact Awards are constituted to celebrate the founders of the Unicorns that Bengaluru has conceived over the years and ones that will chart their journey for years to come. With solutions that have infiltrated global markets and impacted the world, we celebrate these Unicorn founders for their achievements, successes and visions that have mapped Bengaluru on the globe, yet again.
