The Israeli companies reach out to the Israeli Trade and Economic Missions in India to get connected with relevant stakeholders in India.

In this regard, we would like to introduce you to Ms. Esther Altura, an Israeli software engineer and mathematician, who has invented a smart meter that helps tenants and landlords of American apartment monitor the water usage.

After building a successful career as a project manager – supervising the development and design of advance computer systems for a few Californian companies – she is now working 18-hour days to expand the water conservation start-up, DrizzleX, she launched with her son, Ariel.

During her time in the United States, she has insights on how the water system worked. The plumbing infrastructure is built in such a way that the property owners have no idea how much water each individual unit is using. And, the tenants have no idea about the true cost of their water, either.

They have developed a meter that provides transparency on water usage in real time. The device collects data, sends an alert during a leakage, and identifies possible misuse.

The main motive for this innovation is to enable safe and transparent billing of water usage.

Relevant Indian companies, interested to learn more about this smart meter, please contact the Trade and Economic Department at the Israeli Consulate in Bangalore.
