In Mining sector India has been witnessing large scale deployments of Sensors, Hyperspectral Imaging, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Data Integration, Safety of Workforce, Nature and Environment. The Israeli Mining companies had foreseen the need to shift existing Mining techniques to a more sustainable framework which needs to be friendly to the Workforce, Nature as well as Surrounding Environment. The trend of the Israeli mining industry is heading towards remote and autonomous mining. This included remote vehicles that can be ‘driven’ from 100’s of miles away or even autonomous vehicles that drive and ‘think’ for themselves. There is a big push in the mining world today towards Command, Control, Communication and Computer intelligence (4CI).

 

Considering the specializations of Israeli companies an officer of the Israel Economic & Commercial Mission in New Delhi has visited IME 2022 and explored opportunities for Israeli companies. We have met officials of NTPC during the event and post event approached NTPC officials at Coal Mining Headquarter in Jharkhand. NTPC has scouted 5 Israeli companies to know more about their mining technologies.

 

On 9th June 2022 Israeli companies : Airobotics, Solar Drone, Datumate, Green Vision etc. had Showcased their specialization/technologies to the NTPC officials: Sh. Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining), Sh. Sital Kumar, Regional Executive Director, Sh. Tarun Kumar Konar, General Manager (Technical Services), Sh. Amit Kumar Dubey, General Manager (Safety / Mine Planning / Mining Operational Efficiency & New Initiatives), Sh. Bishwa Mohan Singh, General Manager (Engineering) and Sh. Sanchit Dua, Senior Manager (Mining Operation Efficiency & New Initiatives). The officials had queries which had been answered by the companies. In the follow up the companies have been introduced to the NTPC official to take the dialogue forward.
