There is no denying that the history of Israel in agriculture is extraordinary and constantly revolutionizing. As of June 2022, more than 400 startups in Israel cater to the agricultural problems, needs, and requirements of the countries across the globe. The agritech startups in Israel make use of fantastic tech like artificial intelligence, robotics, augmented reality, etc., to tackle a range of problems for the global agriculture sector. These Israeli startups are transforming the face of farming and agriculture by solving problems both at the international and local levels.

Agricultural technologies in Israel are trying to answer and deal with crucial questions about the near future of humanity and mankind. Many are trying to address issues like crop wastage, productivity, and food scarcity. In contrast, many are focused on minimizing the devastating impact of natural disasters like floods, climate change, droughts, etc. This is one of the primary reasons why the agritech startups in Israel are booming so much. The investments in these startups have increased multifold because the Israeli tech is consciously trying to minimize the negative impact of various agricultural activities on the environment while making them sustainable and affordable in the long run.

Many academic institutions and companies in Israel within the agriculture sector are regularly dealing with issues such as feeding the ever-increasing population of the world while not further replenishing the resources on the earth in doing so. With India almost overtaking China as the most populated country in the world, it’s no surprise that these technologies from Israel are very much in need and demand here.

What else, in the last few years, all these technologies have caught the eye of major companies across the globe resulting in some notable collaborations and partnerships. All of this is driven by both, global demand for sustainable solutions and efficiency in the agricultural functions, which include water and irrigation, post-harvest solutions, yield optimization, biodegradable packaging, etc.

Viable and feasible agricultural solutions are the need of the hour, and which better country than the Startup Nation of the world to develop, innovate and scale such technologies for the benefit of the world. With Israel changing the face of agricultural technologies, it’s no wonder that they are further coming up with only better, progressing, and accessible solutions for all the people out there.
