Israel-based media company Ananey Studios, a Paramount global company, signed a deal with one of India’s biggest content producers – Abundantia Entertainment to develop the Indian remake of the popular Israeli series “The Hood”.
The series which is originally called “Suchuna” is a live-action teen drama. The original series is created by Giora Chamizer from Netflix’s “Greenhouse Academy” fame and revolves around kids from low-income groups who regularly bully and fool around with the kids from the rich community in their neighbourhood. The Hood successfully had three hit seasons in Israel on Nickelodeon. Additionally, it was also sold in Portugal.
With Abundantia Entertainment doing the Indian remake of this series, it is sure to catch eyeballs and become a hit series! For those in the know, Abundantia Entertainment’s recently released “Jalsa” and “Sherni” were also super hits and garnered a lot of attention among audiences. Abundantia is now expanding its content in the rapidly-growing youth and young adult segments with “The Missing” and “Along Came a Spyder” under their label – Filter.
