The protection of Personal Data is of vital importance in today’s digital world. India has begun to gear up to ensure the privacy and protection of the digital data of 1.25 Bn Indians. Six years after the Supreme Court of India had declared the “Right to Privacy” as a fundamental right, the Indian Parliament passed the much-awaited Digital Personal Data Bill. The data-holding companies have numerous responsibilities under the new law. They are mandated to introduce safeguards for digital data obtained from individuals even if it is stored with a third-party data processor. As reported by Business Today, leading tech companies face pivotal changes, appointing data officers, undergoing audits, and embracing comprehensive data protection measures. In order to comply with this new act, data-holding companies that are operational in India need to procure the best data protection technologies. Sentra is a data lifecycle security platform, giving security teams full visibility and control of their cloud data, as well as protecting against sensitive data breaches across their entire public cloud stack. The company was founded in 2021 and is now co-headquartered in New York City and Tel Aviv.
