The Israeli Foreign Trade Administration at the Ministry of Economy, is responsible for managing and directing the international trade policy of the State of Israel. The main fields of activity include activities for the promotion of trade and export, initiating and maintaining trade agreements for the improvement of Israel’s trade conditions, attracting and encouraging foreign investments and creating strategic cooperation with foreign companies. Together with the activity in Israel, the Administration operates a network of economic representatives who constitute the operational arm of the Ministry in markets around the world.

About the Economic Attaché
Barak Granot was nominated by the Israeli Ministry of Economic & Industry to serve as a Commercial Attaché / Trade Commissioner and handle the Economic Affairs at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi since January 2016.
As the Head of the Economic & Trade Department, Barak’s team is responsible for the providence of assistance to Israeli companies and businesses in the Indian market, matching between the needs of India and the Israeli technologies and ‘Know how’s’ and responsible for attracting Indian industrial and financial investments in Israel.
Barak have spent the past 15 years studying and working in the fields of International Relation’s, Politics, Campaign Management and Public Relations and took part in several campaigns while working for a privet PR firm, The Knesset (Israeli Parliament) etc.
Before joining the Economic & Trade team in the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi, Barak was working as the Head of Public Relation and Publicity in Israeli Ministry of Economy (Former Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor). At the Ministry of Economy, Barak has led and managed the P.R, Campaigning, Advertising and Public Affairs Unit at the Ministry, where he served a deputy spokesperson.
During that time, he established the Digital & New Media branch within the Israeli Ministry of Economic.
Presently working as a Trade Officer for the promotion of Israeli Exports to India in Medical Device Sector, Tejinder has been part of various assignments during past 7 years in Israel Embassy. In 2011 he was assigned to open Israel Trade promotion Centre in Kolkata to look for Tie ups with Indian companies in various sectors in Eastern states. He was instrumental in introducing Israeli companies to potential customers in India in Water technologies, Agriculture & Irrigation, Healthcare, Homeland security and Solar & Renewable energy sectors. In 2014, posted in New Delhi and assigned the responsibility of introducing and promoting Israeli Medical Device companies to India.
Helping a Business oriented approach, Tejinder has been part of various Pilot Projects and Joint ventures between Israeli and Indian Healthcare providers.
Prior to joining Israel Embassy, he worked in State of Illinois India office as Director- Trade Promotion to promote Trade and Investment relations between the State of Illinois, USA and India. He initiated dialogues with US companies introducing potential customers in India in Biotechnology, Chemicals, Food Processing, Machinery, Energy, Communications, Pharma, Aviation and Nanotech sectors.
WATER AND AGRICULTURE SECTOR
Currently working as a Trade Officer for facilitation of Indo-Israel trade in clean-tech sector, Akhil has been instrumental in bringing in technology interventions and transfers for strengthening India infrastructure demand and bilateral trade between the two countries. Passionate about tracking all the latest developments in Clean-tech and Social sector, his constant endeavor is to learn its intent and connotations with experienced analyst vision.
Carrying a research oriented approach and honest objective to learn and implement, Akhil have been part of various assignments by working with corporate to development organisations at different technological ends in his previous assignments.
TRADE POLICY & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
Kamal Rabha is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and post graduate in International Business, both from Delhi University. He has over 8 years of experience in Intellectual Property Rights and banking sector. This includes experience with Retail and Corporate lending units of Bank of Baroda of Indian Government.
Kamal oversees Trade policy, Regulations and Government Relations in our economic department, including India-Israel FTA. He also oversees “Invest in Israel”, connecting Indian VCs’ and investors with technology companies and startups in Israel.
