A senior delegation from Romania participated yesterday at the Cyber Edge seminar in Tel Aviv. The event was organized in cooperation with Israel National Cyber Directorate, the Foreign Trade Administration and the Export Institute with the occasion of Cybertech Israel 2019.
The Romanian Minister of Communications, Mr. Alexandru Petrescu, opened the seminar by addressing the audience regarding the tremendous potential for Romanian-Israeli cooperation in the fields of communication and cyber security.
Among the respective Romanian delegation there are senior officials including the Deputy Minister of Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Monica Gheorghita, the CIO of the Romanian Government, Mr. Cristian Cucu, the Director General of Romania’s CERT, Mr. Catalin Arama and senior officials from Romania’s National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics.
Over the next few days, the Romanian delegation is expected to participate in the Cybertech Israel 2019 exhibition and conduct B2B meetings with Israeli senior officials and Israeli companies.
“The Israeli Economic Mission to Romania has identified unique potential for Israeli-Romanian cooperation in the fields of Cyber and Homeland Security. I invite Israeli companies to explore the abundant business opportunities in Romania, of course with the Economic Mission assistance and support” – said the Head of the Economic & Trade Mission to Romania, Ms. Bareket Knafo.
