Harvesting advanced Israeli agriculture technologies

For decades, since attaining Independence, Israel has never stopped to seek self sustenance in agriculture produce. Despite being a small country with a population of just 7.5 million, Israel has continuously excelled in the R&D of agriculture technologies and has today evolved to be one of the world’s powerhouse in agrotechnology, researching and developing advanced techniques and methodologies to introduce modern automation and high yield crops and becoming one of the largest exporters of fresh produce to the European Union.

This year, Israel will host the 18th Agritech Israel Exhibition and Conference, held from 15th – 17th May 2012 in Tel Aviv, an international event showcasing Israel’s innovative and cutting-edge agrotechnology. The show is held once every three years and is Israel’s largest event in the field of agriculture.

This event will display a wide array of solutions from high yield seeds, world class drip irrigation technologies, advanced water technologies for agriculture use, greenhouses, post harvest technologies, dairy farming techniques, aquaculture technologies, superior long shelf life packaging solutions, high quality plasticulture to organic pesticide.

There will also be 2 very unique segments:

1. Agritech Innovation Pavilion – The Innovation Pavilion will be one of the major attractions of the Agritech Exhibition and will serve as a platform for more than 30 companies.

2. Agrivest Summit –  presenting the challenges and solutions facing the Agritech and energy second generation agriculture investment community.

Our office is planning to bring a business delegation from Singapore to participate in Agritech Israel. A comprehensive visit program includes visiting Agritech Israel exhibition, pre-arranged 1-on-1 meetings with Israeli companies and organisations based on individual delegate’s wishlist and site visits to Israeli farms and companies.
