Total Singapore-Israel trade in the first quarter of 2014 surged 44.4% year-on-year to S$604.6 million, compared with just S$418.7 million over the same period last year, according to figures released by IE Singapore.
From January to March 2014, Israel exported some S$373.7 million worth of goods to Singapore.
Singapore exported S$230.8 million worth of goods to Israel over the same period.
According to Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics, Israel exports mostly electrical equipment to Singapore, while Singapore exports mostly machinery and computer equipment to Israel.
Total trade between the two nations peaked at S$1.956 billion in 2013.
