During an official visit  to Israel in December Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi me with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu. Amongst the things that was discussed were trade issues. Earlier in 2013 signed a $400 million trade agreement which expanded the already existing financial protocol between the two countries to more than $2 billion. Israeli-Chinese trade already exceeds $8 billion a year and is set to continue to grow in 2014.

South Africa can learn an important lesson from the fastest growing Bric country especially in terms of acquiring innovative technology that will help grow the economy
