Dozens of Israeli startups made waves at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, showcasing Israels global leadership in mobile communications. Innovative technologies offered by the Israeli startups help make significant improvements in the daytoday lives of consumers worldwide from optimizing the performance of their mobile devices to enabling access to financial services and healthcare solutions at the click of an app.

The Israel Pavilion, organized by the Foreign Trade Administration at the Israel Ministry of Economy and Industry in cooperation with the Israel Export Institute, provided a highprofile venue for 65 of the Startup Nations leading mobile communications innovators, from a wide range of sectors, including fintech, artificial intelligence, healthcare, data analytics, cyber, AR/VR, IoT, and mobility. Also among the exhibitors were companies focused on advanced hardware and software solutions for connected devices, 5G technologies, and machine learning.

Heres a sampling of the cuttingedge solutions displayed at the Israeli Pavilion:

·         Employing AI algorithms, Anagog provides app developers with realtime foot traffic data analysis, equipping businesses with better insight into their audiences and their overall performance.

·         Powered by AI and machine learning, Glassbox captures, records, replays, and analyzes mobile and web app sessions in realtimeevery swipe, click and mouse movement offering an indepth look at audience behavior.

·        Vayyar develops embeddable sensors that create realtime 3D images of ones surroundings, without a cameraa solution with applications in such areas as elder care, home security, and business automation.

Israels prime billing at MWC 2018 underscores the countrys status as a global hub of hitech investment and innovation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The ICT sector accounts for 90 percent of multinational corporationsR&D expenditures in Israel, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

With EY forecasting that there will be more than 50 billion connected devices by 2020, mobile is integral to the future of technological innovationa future in which Israel is poised to continue leading the charge.
