The organisers of Agritechnica Asia, DLG (German Agricultural Society) and VNU Exhibitions announced the launch of a new event – “Agrifuture Conference & Exhibition” is scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 2–3 December 2019. This new activity is part of the bold strategy for Agritechnica Asia – the trade fair for agricultural machinery, to facilitate farming solutions to local farmers in Southeast Asia region.

The new Agrifuture Conference & Exhibition event will be held at True Digital Park, a venue in the city of Bangkok and is expected to attract about 1,200 attendees from across Asia-Pacific. The format is an international conference with accompanying side-exhibition and networking sessions. Medium-to-large scale farmers, agricultural machinery operators/ owners/ contractors/ dealers, head of agricultural co-operatives, researchers, engineers, decision makers and policy planners are among those expected to attend.

The first day of the event will include formal conference sessions on three topics, “Regional & global markets”, “Smart crop management & post-harvest technology” and “Mechanisation & Financing” while the focus on the second day is on the exclusive site visit at Kubota Farm located at Ban Bueng District, Chon Buri Province.

Additionally, the event features 15 exclusive companies and start-ups of disruptive technology for future farming namely SIAM KUBOTA Corporation Co., Ltd. (“SIAM KUBOTA”) which confirmed to be an official innovation partner of Agrifuture Conference & Exhibition 2019. In addition to the partnership of industry market leader, the organisers foresee the importance of Israeli entrepreneurship and innovation in Agtech industry and alongside their partners from the Israeli Economic and Trade Mission, Embassy of Israel, are honored to host two high-level officials from Israel – Dr. Michal Levy, Senior Deputy Director-General of Agricultural Innovation, Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development, Israel and Dr.Ron Porat, Head of Department of Postharvest Science of Fresh Produce, Agricultural Research Organization, The Volcani Center, Israel. The Israeli experts will share their expertise on how they helped developing the Israeli ecosystem by connecting all the stakeholders such as companies in all stages, investors and researchers and will address technologies for overcoming the industry’s current and future challenges.
