On the 28th of March 2017 the Israeli Trade Mission alongside BT hosted a British & Israeli Business Leaders Networking Event at the BT Tower in Central London.

Guests were welcomed to the tower with tea, coffee, networking and music courtesy of London’s Jazz Thali. The discussion session kicked off with a formal welcome given by Kush Boparai from the Israeli Trade Mission. This was followed by a rousing speech from Ambassador Mark Regev about the Israel’s burgeoning technology industry and flourishing economic partnership with the UK. A final presentation was made by the co-sponsor of the event Mike Hodgson (Innovation Director and Israel lead at BT) about the opportunities for Israeli companies at BT’s Adastral Park innovation centre near Ipswich.

The session culminated in an insightful panel discussion about Success, Faith and Philanthropy among British business leaders from Sikh and Jewish backgrounds, which uncovered a lot of parallels between these two prolific British minorities. The panel included Dr Rami Ranger CBE (Chairman of Sunmarks Ltd), leading inter-faith leader Rabbi Hershel Gluck, Serial investor and MD of MessageSpace Jag Singh, Founder of SWAT charity Randeep Lall and Karen Harris, MD of INTU digital and well renowned entrepreneur.

A great evening finished with a perfect mix of wine, music, mingling, food (donated by Punjab Restaurant in Covent Garden) and views at the top floor of the tower. A successful event in an iconic London venue, well attended and enjoyed by a mix of some of London’s most passionate business and charitable communities.

I would like to thank all attendees and everyone involved who donated their time and efforts to make the evening a success.

Congratulations and many thanks to our VIP guest Mr Fauja Singh (World record breaking marathon runner) who turned 106 years old a few days after the event, a true inspiration that encapsulated the atmosphere of this enjoyable evening.
