Between the 20-23rd of May we welcomed over 50 executives from WPP and across different arms of the largest media agency in the world, as well as participants from some of WPP’s biggest clients, such as Coca Cola, Colgate, P&G and Shell.
The three-day programme aimed to showcase the entrepreneurial energy that Israel has to offer. We enjoyed visits to Israel’s largest university Tel Aviv University Ventures (TAU) and it’s most prestigious private institution IDC university labs, followed by sessions in their offices and then on the beach with data storage pioneers Infindat .
We arranged over 200 B2B meetings in total for the delegates and we coupled this intense program with pitching and networking across the rooftops of Tel Aviv, as well as a special pitching session accompanied by beers and haphazard volleyball skills on the beach with The Bridge.
The amazing few days culminated in a trip to the Old City of Jerusalem, surviving Israel’s hottest day of the year so far, coupled with our bus breaking down on the side of the highway. Despite the mechanical mishaps, morale remained high and it proved to be an inspirational pilgrim-like end to a packed and awe inspiring trip, which has already started bringing multinationals and Israeli start-ups closer together.
Thank you to the team at WPP the Store and my colleagues at the Export Institute in Tel Aviv.
