Wrap-up: Israeli Showcase & Networking Event during SXSW Interactive 2014

This year at SXSW, our office hosted a fantastic networking event featuring 10 Israeli start-ups in Austin, TX during the annual South by Southwest Music and Interactive Festival.

Our gathering at SXSW 2014 was a big success! A lot of fun, wine, food and music, but more importantly, it was an outstanding business networking opportunity. Israeli technologies were on display for the business and investment community in a casual, high energy atmosphere.

The Israeli companies that attended introduced themselves to the crowd of investors, potential business partners, and relevant individuals, who traveled from far and wide to attend the annual event and meet the start-ups leading the way for Israel’s quest to remain the world’s leading start-up nation!

Also in attendance were dignitaries from Israel and the State of Texas. Pictured above is Texas Secretary of State, Nandita Berry, with Michael Treyger, from the Governor’s office. Michael is the Regional Director covering the Middle East International Business & Economic Development. Secretary Berry gave brief remarks welcoming the Israeli companies in attendance and stressing the importance of the bond between Israel and Texas, and her desire to see international partnerships grow.

Also on hand was the acclaimed Israeli electro-rock band Terry Poison. They put on a fantastic show very much in line with the SXSW atmosphere, capping off the evening with a high-energy show that had everyone cheering.

Our office would like to give thanks to everyone who was a part of it.

We can’t wait to see you next year, and please be sure to pass the word about this incredible event that’s sure to be even more successful next year!
