Our week at CERAWeek

Once a year, the top management of the world energy industry convenes in Houston, Texas for CERAWeek, a week-long conference dealing with energy related issues.

In 2019, the Israeli Ministry of Energy sent a delegation to CERAWeek including the following guests:

  • Yuval Steinitz, Minister of Energy
  • Ehud Adiri – Director General of the Ministry of Energy
  • Yossi Wurzburger – Oil & Gas Commissioner, Ministry of Energy
  • Michael Gardosh – Head of Geology, Geophysics and Information Department

The delegation met with more than a dozen E&P companies to discuss Israel’s bid round.

On Wednesday March 13th, Minister Steinitz hosted a Ministerial breakfast with the Energy Ministers from Greece, Cyprus and Egypt. Additional honorable guests were the Under Secretary of the Department of Energy, Mark Menezes, and the Assistant Secretary of the State Department, Francis Fanon. Read more about in this blog post.

After the meeting, the Four Energy Ministers spoke at a panel at CERAWeek conference on Eastern Mediterranean Gas Renaissance.

The Minister also visited Noble Energy’s site of the Leviathan platform, soon to be shipped to Israel towards the commencement of production of gas from the Leviathan reservoir in the 4th quarter of 2019.
