The annual DOE Cyber Conference is taking place this month, between the 13-16th of May in Denver, CO. This conference gathers the head of the American government in the field of cyber as well as international cyber companies showcasing their innovative products to the American government.
Last year, in 2018 the DOE Cyber Conference, Israel was greatly honored as only the United Kingdom and Israel were selected to open the conference alongside the United States.
An Israeli governmental delegation will be attending the conference, including representatives of the Israeli Energy Ministry, the Ministry of Economy, Innovation Authority, National Cyber Bureau and BIRD Foundation.
The delegations will be active participants in the conference while presenting in panels and meeting with representatives of the DOE and local companies in the field of protection of critical industries and energy centers.
Another topic that will be discussed in the conference is the establishment of the US-Israel Center of Excellence in Energy, Engineering and Water Technology (Energy Center) that was signed in 2018 between Rick Perry (Secretary of Energy) and Yuval Steinitz (Israeli Minister of Energy) to support joint R&D project between Israel and the United States in a sum of $8M per year for 5 years. Recently, a Call for Proposals was published.
