NYC’s Salute to Israel Parade features “moving runway” of Israeli fashion

On Sunday, June 5th, at the annual Salute to  Israel Parade in NYC, the official State of Israel float was adorned with models exhibiting high fashion and design from the Holy Land.  Designer Rona Nechmad, from Tel Aviv’s Shenkar School of Design, was showcased.  The school, now considered among the best in  the world, is very proud to count their graduates among those included at the MET’s “Manus X Machina” exhibition.

The Tahor Group, together with Israeli fashion legend Motty Reif, presented Israel’s first “moving runway” down Fifth Avenue on Sunday, in order to announce “Tel Aviv Fashion NYC,” an activity that will launch in New York on September 7, 2016.  Sunday’s parade previewed top Tel Aviv designers including Maya Negri, Lihi Cohen-Shamrich, Alembika, Alon Livne, Meirav Solo and Nirit Dekel.
