Israeli flavors pop at 2016 Kosherfest in NJ

On November 15 & 16, a delegation of Israeli food companies, supported by the Israel Export Institute and the Israel Economic Mission in NYC, exhibited in the “Taste Israel” pavilion at Kosherfest in New Jersey.  Kosherfest, which takes place every year, is the world’s largest trade show for vendors, buyers and service providers in the kosher food production and retailing spaces.  Naturally, Israel as one of the most important markets and exporters of Kosher food, is always represented by a sizeable delegation.

This year, IEMNYC and the Export Institute sponsored a breakfast for retailers and buyers on the morning before the show opened.  Featured speakers included the newly minted Consul General of Israel in New York, Ambassador Dani Dayan, as well as Roger Sherman,  the award-winning film maker who produced In Search of Israeli Cuisine.   Sherman discussed the quality and importance of fresh, innovative and delicious gastronomy scene happening right now in the Startup Nation.
