About The Israel Economic Mission to the Washington DC

The Israel Economic Mission to Washington DC is covering 3 main areas:

  1. Trade Policy and Regulations: it facilitates the bilateral trade policy relations between the Israeli Ministry of Economy and its US counterpart, i.e. the USTR. In addition, it works closely with other U.S. Federal Government Agencies such as the Department of Commerce, the Department of Agriculture, the Human and Health Services, the FDA etc. The office is watching closely changes in US regulations that might affect Israeli companies and the trade and investments relations between the US and Israel, shares relevant information with the different stakeholders in Israel and comments as appropriately. The office is engaged with the US Congress Trade subcommittees regarding different trade issues.
  1. The liaison office for the WB & IDB: The office oversees Israel’s engagement with the international financial institutions located in DC, i.e. the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. It works closely with the relevant units in those institutions and brings opportunities to the Israeli companies keen to work in developing countries.
  1. Trade and Investments promotion: The office promotes and facilitates trade and investment between Israeli companies and US entities in DC and the area, in order to enhance bilateral commercial relations.
Our Goal:
Bringing relevant information to the Israeli industry regarding changes in the US Trade Policy and Regulations, initiating vis-à-vis the relevant US part of the administration and offering assistance to Israeli companies as appropriate
Creating opportunities for Israeli activity in developing markets. Escorting companies in the complexed process involving the work with the IFIs. Branding Israel as the Innovation Country within the IFIs.
Assisting the Israeli industry in deepening its activity in the US, focusing on the following States: DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, KY, TN, AL – trade, investments, and R&D cooperation.
